The council commissioned consultants during 2005 to carry out a study into sustainable energy opportunities in the borough. PUSH is also currently carrying out a feasibility study on energy policy for South Hampshire. Proposed draft energy policies for the borough and site options for renewable or low-carbon energy schemes being published as part of the council’s Local Development Framework consultation in March-April 2008.
