Welcome to the website of Havant's Local Strategic Partnership (LSP).

"Forward Together":  Havant Borough Sustainable Community Strategy 2008-2012

"Forward Together", a new sustainable community strategy for the period 2008-2012, was developed by a multi-partner project team from the Havant Community Partnership (now the Havant LSP).   The strategy is focused on partners working together and our communities also playing their part.  Follow this link to view the new strategy>>> (pdf file, 7 Mb).

Havant's Local Strategic Partnership was set up to tackle key issues for local people in order to bring about improvements to quality of life in the borough - safe places to live, healthy lifestyles,  good leisure activities, good transport links, job opportunities... in other words, trying to make a difference and make the borough a place people want to live in, work and visit.

Partnership working has been happening in Havant for some time, but the Havant Local Strategic Partnership brings together key organisations and people from public bodies, voluntary and community organisations and business.  The first Community Strategy, "Stronger Together", which the different organisations was published in February 2005.  Follow this link to read "Stronger Together" (PDF version, 155 KB).

The  LSP consists of the  LSP Board and six Community Boards.  The Community Boards were originally set up as part of Havant Borough Council's Liveability Programme, to work on environmental improvement projects for their localities.  They are now members of the Partnership, giving the community a voice at a strategic level and advising the LSP Board on local issues.
