Growing "Stronger Together"
A progress report on delivery of the Community Strategy
February 2005 - January 2006
The Havant Community Partnership’s first Community Strategy
"Stronger Together" was published in March 2005, setting out the
priorities for Havant Borough until 2008. These priorities had been
identified through consultations with residents and partners in
2004, and targets for achieving them were set out in the Community
Strategy’s Action Plan.
Throughout 2005, the Havant Community Partnership Board
(the strategic body overseeing delivery of the Community
Strategy) monitored progress by means of reports from lead
partners at
HCP
Board meetings.
These reports were brought together in a progress report "Growing
Stronger Together". Follow the links below to see extracts
from "Growing Stronger Together" and what was achieved over
the first year.

Environment:
A set of developmental priorities and targets for the
HCP
Board
itself was also included in the Community Strategy and the Board
has therefore also been monitoring its own progress:
- the network of Community Boards was set up, and in 2005
incorporated into the partnership
- the
HCP
Board was restructured and now consists of representatives of
partnerships delivering services, together with representatives
from each of the Community Boards
- a revised Corporate Strategy for Havant Borough Council
was published in 2005
- the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership published a
revised Crime and Disorder Reduction Strategy
- a separate identity for the
HCP
was established with the
appointment of an independent chairman (and vice-chairman)
- progress on partners’ delivery of Community Strategy targets
(see above) was monitored throughout the year.
