What We Did (to January 2007)

Reduce levels of offending by the top 20 prolific offenders, by 2008. Police
Currently 21 PPOs. Statistics for PPO s in prison are:

As at 4th October '06      - 43%
As at 15th November '06 - 24%
As at 13th December '06 - 43%
As at 18th January '07     - 33%.

 

Expand neighbourhood policing teams within the borough by 2008.
Police

New “Safer Neighbourhoods” initiative implemented: not just about policing but about contributions from other partner organisations; shared responsibility; working together; and neighbourhood management. Neighbourhood Teams set up, involving joint action with communities and partners to solve problems.  An additional 25 Police Community Safety Officers appointed to Havant Borough.

 

Crime and Disorder Audit shows reduced incidence of anti-social behaviour and increase in public confidence, by 2008.
Police Customer Satisfaction Surveys relating to Police response in terms of first contact, actions taken, being kept Informed and treatment, undertaken between 4 May 2006 and 8 February 2007, show:
  • Domestic Burglary: 95% satisfied
  • Vehicle Crime: 75% satisfied
  • Violent Crime: 71% satisfied
  • Road Traffic Collisions: 80% satisfied.
